The project comprised the dismantling of a mixture of process plants and structures including a 45m high Lurgi Building, Boiler House, Coal & Ash Handling Plant, SCRAB Plant, Transfer Towers & Conveyors, Nitrogen & Oxygen Tanks, Tar Separation Areas, Gas Holders & Gas Coolers. Other site constraints included site wide asbestos decontamination, working around live HV/LV services and an operational Gas Turbine.
